The Charities That We Are Supporting
After much consideration we have decided to support the following charities and aim to provide as much financial assistance as we can.
Families' Activity Breaks (FAB)
Families' Activity Breaks (FAB) is a non-public funded, tri Service initiative in partnership with the Youth Hostel Association of England and Wales, providing fun and challenging activity holidays around the UK for bereaved Armed Forces families.
The Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion safeguards the welfare, interests and memory of those who are serving or who have served in the Armed Forces.
Forces Help (SSAFA)
We help and support those who serve in our Armed Forces and those who used to serve - even if it was only for a single day. We also care for the families of both.
The Soldiers Charity (ABF)
We are The Soldiers’ Charity. We give lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families. They risk so much for us, but for them, it’s “just doing their job”.
The RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF)
We are the RAF's leading welfare charity providing practical, financial and - in some cases - emotional support to all members of the RAF family, from childhood through to old age.
The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust
Men and Women in the Royal Navy and Royal Marines serve their country, often at times of national crisis and danger. The RNBT exists to serve many of them and their families by supporting them in times of need.
Afghan Heroes
Founded by the mother of a soldier killed in Afghanistan, Afghan Heroes is independent of other charities. It deals specifically with members of the British forces and their families that have been affected by the military operations in Afghanistan now and into the future. The intention is to operate until a minimum of five-years from the cessation of our military presence in Afghanistan
Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing Service
The Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing Service is committed to providing a nursing workforce that is determined to develop the skills, knowledge and ability to deliver high quality care whilst being responsive to the dynamic nature of RAF Nursing in peacetime and on operations
Battle Back
Battle Back is a new Tri-Service initiative which aims to improve and formalise the use of Adventure Treaining and Sport in the aftercare of wounded Service personnel in order to aid their rehabilitation and return to an active life
Help for Heroes
Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry after a profoundly moving visit to Selly Oak Hospital in the summer of 2007. Bryn and Emma met some extraordinarily brave young people who had been badly wounded and they just wanted to do something to help.
